FinishLine · Track Meet Timing

Every hundredth
counts.

FinishLine handles meet-day timing and results coordination for youth, middle school, and high school track & field programs. Built so starting line, finish line, and the results table stay on the same clock, the same roster, and the same meet.

The problem

Meet day runs on three clocks and one spreadsheet.

Starting line calls it, finish line clocks it, and someone at a folding table tries to reconcile it all into results the announcer can read out before the next heat lines up. FinishLine is built to close that gap.

01

Split rosters, lost time

Paper heat sheets and re-typed rosters mean errors compound heat over heat, event over event.

02

No shared clock

Start and finish devices drift apart without a common reference, so times don't line up when it matters.

03

Results, not just heats

Coaches and families want updates for the whole meet — standings across every event — not a stack of individual heat slips.

The product

How FinishLine runs a meet

Four things FinishLine handles so meet staff can focus on the athletes, not the paperwork.

Event 100Setup

Roster import, from your own file

Bring a roster in straight from your registration system. FinishLine reconciles athletes and teams against your event and heat structure before the first gun goes off.

Event 200Coordination

Starting line, finish line, and results in sync

Every role runs its own device, and every device shares one meet: starters mark the gun, finish-line staff capture order and time, and the results table sees it update live.

Event 300Timing

One clock, not a guess

A server-authoritative clock keeps every connected device on the same reference time, so a split captured at the start and a finish captured 12 seconds later actually agree. There's even a photo-finish feature for accurate timing.

Event 400Results

The full meet, not just the heat

Individual and team standings roll up automatically across every event and heat, so results are ready for the announcer, the coaches, and the families in the stands.

The company

MJH Interactive

MJH Interactive is a New Jersey–based software company building focused, reliable tools for youth and scholastic sports programs. FinishLine is our first product, born from seeing how much more efficient and accurate a track & field meet can run when starting line, finish line, and results share one connected system.

We're a small, engineering-led team with backgrounds in mobile platform engineering and large-scale consumer software, applying that experience to a problem that's usually solved with a stopwatch, a clipboard, and a lot of goodwill from volunteers.
